Chosen by the Gloom, as its warrior in the final fight between good and evil, Morena failed in that conflict and yet also somehow succeeded. Leaving our world free of the direct influence of the Gloom and the Light, we were left to our own devices. Shards of Morena’s essence remain though, scattered across the globe. Any unfortunate enough to come into contact with them are driven to dark deeds that force humanity ever closer to the eventual return of the Gloom.
